Caring for Students - Student Leadership Program
Student Representative Council
The Student Representative Council (SRC) is an elected group of students from years 7-12. The SRC gives the students a voice in many aspects of College life.
Peer Support Leaders
Year 10 students act as Peer Support Leaders for year 7 students. Students nominate to become peer leaders. The Year Co-ordinator and College Leadership Team make the final appointments of Peer Leaders.
Year 12
All year 12 students are seen as leaders in the College. Early in term 4 each year, all year 12 students are presented with their year 12 House Badge.
The Student Leadership Team of St Francis College has two College Captains, two Boarding House Captains and eight Student Leaders who together form the Student Executive Council.
Year 11 students aspiring to be on the Student Leadership Team complete a leadership program in Term 3 under the guidance of their Year Leader. Students will also assist with a major fundraising event and other school and community activities as deemed appropriate.
Student candidates are then interviewed by the Principal and a small staff committee and then selected after consultation with staff and students from years 10, 11 and 12.
