Boarding - Boarding House Welcome

WELCOME TO BOARDING AT ST FRANCIS

The Boarding House at St Francis College is a caring environment in a country atmosphere.

Established in 1956 in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area and set on ten hectares, St Francis provides a unique environment for learning with students being able to return by bus to their families each Friday afternoon.

Our ethos is to focus on what it means to be people created in the image of God.  The person of Jesus is the foundation of all that is done at the college.  His life and teaching give character and spirit to our culture and practice.

The college achieves its aims by providing a Pastoral Care structure which enhances student well being, including discipline, self responsibility and respect.  We provide opportunities for students and staff to be active in the works of social justice and faith expression in the Catholic tradition.

The entire process of education is a service to the individual student helping each to achieve  the most complete formation possible, including becoming an active and creative human being in service to society.  Each student is encouraged to be compassionate in recognising the needs of others and to respond with generosity and integrity.

Boarding students have access to the many local sporting and cultural community organisations.Students also have access to music and singing tuition.

Overall St Francis College provides a friendly, safe and caring environment for student learning.
